28th CIPA Symposium
Description of the event
The theme of the CIPA2021 symposium was “Great Learning & Digital Emotionâ€. “Great Learning†is a concept put forward by Confucius, the famous Chinese philosopher, which means that people had macro and systematic ideas for learning and practice and they realized the common enhancement of knowledge and human nature. “Digital Emotion†means that through the use of digital technology to stimulate public emotional interaction and empathy, so as to enhance the relationship between people and the cultural heritage.
Involvement and mission
The main topics of the symposium was: Collecting and Inventorying Data of Monuments and Sites. Management of Heritage Data and Preventive Conservation. Interpretation and Presentation of Cultural Heritage. Digitalization of Cultural Heritage in Post-Pandemic Era. Ethical Value and Public Participation. Cultural Heritage Outreached in the 21st Century.
Impact
The presentation as well as the very constructive discussion that followed formed an invaluable material and knowledge for the Mnemosyne future research agenda. The audience gave many remarkable points and thoughts which make us start thinking more creative.
